Omokri attacks Defence minister for defending herdsmen killings

Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has criticised the Minister of defence, Mansur Dan-Ali for justifying Fulani herdsmen killings in some parts of the country.

The minister of defence after a meeting with Buhari on Thursday blamed the implementation of anti-open grazing bill in some states as the major cause of the killings by Fulani herdsmen in the country.

Dan-Ali said the decision of some states to enact laws banning open grazing triggered the violence.

Omokri expressed worry that Mansur Dan-Ali, a minister of defence would defend the gruesome actions of Fulani herdsmen against the plights of Nigerians.

He wrote via his twitter page “I’ve never been as sad as I was when I watched Buhari’s Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, justify the killings of Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen on the basis that grazing routes were blocked and the anti grazing law.

“Is Mansur Dan-Ali minister of defense for Nigeria or herdsmen?”

“How can we solve killer Fulani herdsmen problem when President Buhari and those around him don’t see the killings as a problem? His so called minister for defense defended Fulani herdsmen at the villa yesterday and blamed anti grazing law. No wonder Buhari has not visited Benue.
