Wahala: Abductors kidnap Otun Olubadan, Lekan Balogun’s twin, demand N100m ransom

There was pandemonium in Akobo Ibadan residence of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Lekan Balogun on Thursday when two suspected kidnappers stormed the house and abducted his five-year-old twins, a boy and a girl.

According to Daily Post: “The details of how the incident happened are still sketchy as at the time of filling this report on Friday, however, the suspected kidnappers have demanded N100 million ransom from the family.

The mother of the twins is said to be recovering at an undisclosed hospital as a result of the shock.

The Public Relations Officer of the Oyo state Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident, said that the command has launched an investigation into the matter.

He said: “We have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers. We will rescue the children

“We received a report that two of the traditional ruler’s children were kidnapped in Akobo. The command is doing everything to rescue the children unhurt.

“We are aware of the incident. We hope to rescue the children as soon as possible,” Police Commissioner Abiodun Odude has ordered the Anti kidnapping Squad to rescue the children.”
