Chelsea’s assistant manager, Gianfranco Zola is set to leave the club when his contract expires this summer.
This is following Maurizio Sarri’s impending exit from Stamford Bridge.
Zola joined Chelsea last summer following the arrival of Sarri from Napoli, helping the Blues to a third place finish in the Premier League and the Europa League title.
Sky Sports reports that Zola’s future is up in the air, and that the assistant manager will be leaving Stamford Bridge.
Zola has not been offered a new deal with Chelsea, and a former Blues star, Frank Lampard is expected to bring Jody Morris with him if he is appointed as manager, as expected.
